Day 2

Raining! A beautiful morning wasted as we had planned to take the participant out for a stroll round Fraser’s Hill taking in the beautiful scenery. Fraser’s Hill is well known for bird watchers as well as its picturesque English countryside feel with serene surroundings… great for a quiet weekend break away from the hustle and bustle of city life!

We were not ready for such an upset, so we had to improvise and change the schedule around. The exercise session was held inside and the masterclasses came on after. The photo session had to wait for the sun to come up and so was pushed after tea. Here are some fun time and some serious workout on the guitar.

Simon leading the exercise session.

The first exercise was to have Jeremy beat box a rhythm and then the two groups plays back the rhythm and the group that did not match the rhythm proper was punished. The punished group…did the star jump…

With the end of the exercise session and the rain has not stopped, the masterclass was moved forward…so back to some serious stuff…

Our Artiste-in Residence exchange classes, with Manoon taking the Beginners Masterclass and Rafael, Intermediate/Advanced Masterclass. Well, in this way, all the participants will get to experience classes with both.

It was great to see the sun coming up after the masterclasses, just great for taking photos right in the town center of Fraser’s Hill. This photo session is the only time that we were not in the hotel since the morning hike was cancelled due to the rain. After this photo session, it was back to the hotel for lunch. I presume that some of the participants were not too interested in lunch as they most probably would be getting the jitters since after lunch, some of them will be performing…
