Critique, Commentary and Rectification by Simon Cheong

Nathan Fischer's Pride, Pedagogy and Performance:
Getaran Jiwa, Variations on a Malaysian Song op. 125, by John Duarte
This paper was written after I had read Nathan Fischer's Pride, Pedagogy and Performance which I had found on the net on 26 August 2015 and set about writing this paper on 30 August. I then completed this paper and sent it to the Chief Editor, Dr Jean Penny of Malaysian Music Journal, Fakulti Muzik dan Seni Persembahan Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris on 15 September 2015.

- We are closed for registration.
- For those who are coming to the camp with their own transport - Please be sure that you are at our registration desks at Shahzan's Inn, Fraser's Hill at 12 noon. Those coming late and missing the registration will cause the organisers and the other participants disruption and inconvenience. Please be punctual.
- For those taking the bus with us at PJ Armada Hotel - Please be there by 7.45 a.m. as the bus will be leaving at 8.15 a.m. and at the Caltex Station in Selayang, KL - Please be there by 8.15 a.m. as the bus will be leaving at 8.45 a.m. To prevent a delay in our departure, please wake up earlier and take the traffic jams into consideration. It is not nice to have everyone waiting for just one or two people who are late.
- Campers must have their own guitars, footstools, music stands and tuners as none will be provided!
- Do not forget to bring along your ensemble piece and the pieces that you will be playing in the workshops or masterclasses.
