Since there are no books as far as I know with regard to this topic, I would like to initiate a movement towards this end. It will be great if someone who likes to write and is willing to invest his time to search for information will write one. In this respect, I hope that this website will be of help. I am calling out to every Malaysian who may be interested in the classical guitar to come forward to give us information on the topic.

Some of the questions to be asked and answered are:

  1. How did the classical guitar make its appearance in Malaysia? By whom?
  2. The classical guitar before and after independence
  3. How did Andres Segovia's influence reach our shores?
  4. Who were the locals who made contributions to the interest and development of the classical guitar in Malaysia?

There will be a thousand and one questions to be asked and answered, but the seed is planted here. I hope that there will be ample opportunities for the classical guitar community to interact in this website. Please send me all your ideas, conjectures, your beliefs, memories etc and I will try to put everything in this website. Let this website be a source of information on the happenings and the who's who in the classical guitar world.

For the moment I will contribute what is in my memory as I see it in the pages to come since I have performed and taught in this beloved country of ours for the past 27 years or more!
